Responsible for overseeing the day to day operations of the Firm, developing and executing projects and operating procedures to support overall company policies and objectives, and guaranteeing an appropriate control of the financial, regulatory and reporting activities

Following the integration of MLBS into BJB, I kept my previous responsibilities as Control, Reporting & Change Manager with MLBS. Additionally I supported since February 2013 the Legal Merger and Technical Migration projects as part of the formal Project Management Office.

Managing 4 different teams: - Credit Services: Supporting the EMEA Region (MLBS / MLIB): Monitoring and reporting of margin calls and limit excess, manual conditions monitoring, concentration reporting. - Tax Reporting: Corporate Tax reporting (EU Tax directive, US QI, Swiss Stamp duty) and Client Tax reporting (capital gains, income statement). Implementation of projects related to regulatory changes (FATCA, Agreements on Cooperation in the Area of Taxation with Austria and the UK). - Change Management: Co-ordination and management of projects (Six-Sigma) and prioritization of change requests partnering with Technology team, issuance of Business Requirements documentation. - Risk & Control: Building and reporting activity and control metrics. Reconciliation of cash and securities, elaboration and control of operational procedures, monitoring of Operational Risk Assessment and also acting as single contact point for internal and external audits and with EMEA Control & Risk.

Managing an organization of 12 people distributed in 3 different teams (Trades Execution, Trades Processing and Operations Support Desk), responsible for monitoring and exception handling of all securitised and derivatives products order executions with MLPF&S and external counterparts, liquidation of hedge funds and supplying required documentation (ISDA). The teams are also responsible for processing to the appropriate MLB(S) clients as well as supporting Equities, Fixed Income products, Mutual and Hedge Funds, OTC and standard derivatives, precious metals and settlement of Trades. Additionally preparing ad hoc and regular reporting to senior Management as well as co-ordinating general operational issues for the Business and other teams in Operations.

Supervising and managing a team of 8 professionals, dealing with settlement and booking of trades, liquidation of funds / hedge funds, corporate actions, cash entitlements, securities master data base and systems administration for the bank. Tax Management and reporting (US QI, EU Tax Directive, SWX, Swiss Stamp Duty). Control and management of trailer fees (Hedge funds). Management of equity derivatives’ margin and escrow accounts.

Responsible for a team of 3 professionals dealing with securities and cash reconciliation, custody and correspondent relationships. Reporting to the General Director of BBVA (Suiza) SA and to senior management.

Working in the Consultancy’s Outsourcing practice. Specialising in internal auditing and consultancy, with a focus on the financial sector. Projects included working for customers such as BSCH (Santander), BBVA (Central de Valores), Salomon Brothers and Hewlett Packard. The last project was in BBVA Privanza Bank (Switzerland), S.A. (process management consultancy of the Back Office and securities reconciliation).

Working in the Investment and New Business Department, doing sector studies and financial valuation of new business opportunities.
