I am currently Vice President of HR at Magnitude Capital, an elite fund of hedge funds. In this role, I manage firmwide recruitment as well as help oversee all HR-related tasks.Prior to moving into in-house HR at Magnitude, I spent several years at Core Staffing working on executive-level recruitment for HR roles across industries, with a focus on buyside financial services firms (e.g., private equity, hedge funds). I joined Core Staffing directly from McKinsey, where I worked on talent-focused products, assessments, and datasets to support clients and create knowledge in the HR and talent space. During this time, I published several articles in McKinsey's various publications that both informed internal stakeholders of McKinsey's talent-related work as well as helped build new business with clients.I graduated 1st in my class of 1,557 students at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (summa cum laude, 4.0 GPA) with a degree in Economics before receiving an M.Sc. in Financial Economics from Oxford University, where I received a half tuition scholarship from the quant hedge fund Man Group plc and was on the Dean's List. I also hold a PhD in Organizational Behavior from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania. My dissertation involved the collection and analysis of ~50,000 C-SPAN videos to understand how the behavior of politicians—as measured by facial emotions, tone of voice, and gesturing—relates to their status over time. I was one of eight students nationally that was selected to present my dissertation research to a panel of top academics at the 2017 INFORMS/Organization Science Dissertation Proposal Competition.I am a pioneer in the field of computational organizational behavior who loves to apply data science tools (e.g., Python, R, shell scripting, SQL) to talent-related questions. I'm very open to questions—or just general chats—about HR, organizational behavior, people analytics, talent acquisition, research, and/or data science.

Research Science SpecialistMckinsey & Company Mar 2019 - Aug 2019UsStarting out as a PhD intern in the Org Practice at McKinsey, while completing my dissertation, I was quickly brought on as a full-time employee, initially as a People Analytics data scientist for both internal projects (e.g., development of a culture fit assessment) and client-facing engagements (e.g., drove data science workstream as lead data scientist on an engagement to revamp the employee value proposition [EVP] of a global IT firm).Shortly thereafter, as the People Analytics team was building out its new Product arm, the newly hired head of the team, Matt Thomas, pegged me to lead, as the primary Product Manager, the buildout of the team's core product: a Strategic Workforce Planning (SWP) tool for use by our global clients looking to revamp their workforces for the Future of Work (FoW). In this role, I partnered with data scientists, developers, and designers—and worked closely with internal McKinsey stakeholders and early client users—to ensure the product incorporated the latest knowledge in SWP, while meeting the needs of clients. -
