Jaime Williams has a Chemical Engineering Degree from Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México, an MBA from J. L. KELLOGG GRADUATE SCHOOL OF MANAGEMENT, of NORTHWESTERN UNIVERSITY and has a post-graduate degree in Environmental Management from UNAM, as well as a Financial Risk Management from the Tecnológico de Monterrey. Mr. Williams started his career in an environmental engineering firm to later join Cemex as Energy Planning Manager. Later on, Mr. Williams became Commercial Director of Enron de México, where he was responsible for the Asset Development and Commodity Risk Management business in México, and became President of Enron de México. In 2002, Mr. Williams, moved on to Cargill Risk Management as Director, and developed Cargill´s Energy OTC Risk Management Business in Mexico. He became General Director of Gas Industrial de Monterrey, one of the largest natural gas self-supply companies in México. He also leads an Energy and Climate Change private Think Tank, where some of the largest industrial groups, converge, and he coordinated the Private Sector negotiations from the Energy Commission of the CCE, for the Mexican Energy Reform.He was offered a position in Cemex Energía as Commercial Director and he decided to leave the company in 2016 to form and join a start up called Avant Energy. Avant Energy is a start up of Riverstone, a Private Equity Fund to develop Energy Midstream Infrastructure. Signed up in December 2016 and initiated the development of a 120,000 bpd refined products marine terminal in Altamira. Left the company in April 2020, due to lack of traction because of changes in energy regulation and policies. He immediatley stared Auto Tailors, a designing and manufacturing company, making high end car covers for the car collector market. A year later, in May 2021, Auto Tailors started operations selling highly customized collector car covers.
