CurrentAs the Category Manager for IT Infrastructure, Insight, and IT Security, I spearhead strategic sourcing initiatives aimed at capturing tangible savings and making informed supply base decisions. My role encompasses overseeing strategic sourcing activities across various Information Technology spend categories, including Infrastructure, Security, Business Intelligence, Big Data, Financial Systems, Networking Operation & Maintenance, and Software Licensing.Key Responsibilities•Strategic Sourcing Leadership: Lead strategic sourcing efforts to achieve significant cost reductions while enhancing product quality and supplier service levels. Collaborate closely with key stakeholders to develop and execute cost reduction strategies, implementation plans, and budgeting processes.•Vendor Negotiation: Successfully negotiate license and software agreements with industry-leading vendors such as VMWARE, Broadcom, Oracle, Microsoft, Red Hat, and others. Additionally, adeptly manage negotiations for IT/Telco hardware with major suppliers like Dell, EMC, Hitachi, and Cisco, among others.•Professional Services Negotiation: Drive negotiations for professional services, including software development, application management, DevOps, Security Operation Centers/Security Managed Services, IT Managed Services, and IT Office services.•Financial Oversight: Directly manage a spending portfolio exceeding $80 million annually, ensuring optimal allocation and utilization of resources.My role requires a blend of strategic thinking, negotiation prowess, and a deep understanding of IT infrastructure and security solutions. By implementing effective cost reduction strategies and fostering collaborative vendor relationships, I contribute to the overall success and efficiency of the organization's IT operations.
