In this role I work directly with clients and creative leadership to develop content for companies in the technology and healthcare sectors. Along with my creative duties, I also mentor junior writing staff and help recruit, asses and retain a growing team of writers in our domestic and international offices.

Greater Seattle Area

In this role I worked as part of a multi-discipline team that merged creative and content strategy to reimagine the customer experience for the Microsoft Partner Network, Microsoft's largest online presence. This role relied heavily on UX and Content Strategy, which meant not only developing creative, but also designing the content system that meant users found the right piece of content at the right time.

Greater Seattle Area

In this role I oversee the creative output of seven creative teams as well as our roster of contract writers, technology journalists and content creators. As a sister company to The New Yorker, POP had, (and has) extremely high standards with regard to writing and during this time I was fortunate enough to work with some extremely talented writers, proofreaders and editors. This was a high collaboration office and much of the time I was leading creative teams while also writing the creative. Much of the work we created during this time was long form content, ebooks, articles, short documentaries and podcasts, so I was really lucky to be able to spend my entire time working on the kind of creative I love most. My Client roster was entirely Microsoft, spanning Microsoft Cloud + Enterprise, SQL, EMS + OMS, Azure, Power BI, Cybersecurity, Microsoft Research, Microsoft Education as well as the Microsoft Data Summit events.

Greater Seattle Area

In this role I oversee 3 creative teams working across the full range of Microsoft clients including Microsoft Office 365, Microsoft Dynamics, One Drive, The Microsoft Convergence Live Event, Microsoft Cloud and BING. I also helped to establish the Content Lab, designed the documentation and shaped the process from intake to presentation.

During this time I worked for a number of creative companies including agencies in Los Angeles, Chicago and Portland. The client list was almost exclusively technology focused, including Microsoft Cloud, Microsoft Executive Leadership, NETFLIX, HTC, Intel, and IBM.

San Francisco Bay Area

I oversee the creative output of seven creative teams and two Associate Creative Directors. Along with channeling creative thinking in the right direction, I also help write the briefs with the strategic planner and present and sell the work into the client along with the rest of the account team. I have 9 key clients and have worked with more than a dozen stakeholders and decision makers from Microsoft, PIXAR, DISNEY, NBC, FOX, HBO and The International Olympic Committee as well as integrating our creative efforts with the work of four other agencies across all media, including digital, social and experiential. It is imperative to the efficiency of the account that I maintain excellent, ongoing relationships with all of our partners. I am tasked with identifying, recruiting and retaining world class creative talent across a spectrum of disciplines and skill sets, as well as mentoring and developing the talent in the existing department. I have successfully implemented an AKQA lecture series of world class innovators and maintain relationships with creative schools including the Miami Adschool and the VCU Adcentre. In this role I oversee the creative output of seven creative teams. In this role I oversaw the output of five copywriters for clients including HONDA, SONY and Budweiser. In addition to my copywriting role I was also the New Business Creative Lead and was tasked with leading new business pitches and organically growing revenue from our existing client base. Clients: HONDA, SONY PLAYSTATION, BUDWEISERSkills: Writing, Concept Development and Creative Presentation and Pitching, Direct Mail.

In this role I worked on large multinational clients such as Smirnoff and Kellogg’s, eventually working up to the level of Creative Group Head on Kleenex. Additionally, I was enlisted to write and present creative workshops to our clients to help them to understand and judge creative work. I was also invited to give the Copywriting lecture at The Australian Writers School, where I continued my work as a part time teacher.
