During my 30 years at Hallmark Cards Inc., initially I created artwork for Greeting Cards and I earned opportunities through promotion, to manage and lead/supervise new hires, manage/lead teams of 6 and 60, lead multi-million dollar budgets and develop critical infrastructures. In 2009-2012 I launched new programs and capabilities for Hallmark in the Digital and New Media fields. Hired in 1982 as a Greeting Card Illustrator and retired in 2012 as a Multimedia Design Director in the Creative Organization. During my 30 years, as I advanced, I was rewarded with developing and supporting various creative product and marketing initiatives for Freelance Design, New Ventures Division, Hallmark’s digital design/web solutions, Creative Marketing and Multimedia. I worked with multi-talented teams to create staffs, design studio infrastructures and led and develop future leaders, Designers, Production Designers, inter-department Traffic for work process systems and supporting staff. I enjoyed many enriched years of managing and nurturing relationships as a Creative Division Leader. Additionally, the corporate design environment provided me recruiting experiences, working with major design colleges throughout the nation, evaluating design portfolios, mentoring and leading new-hires and making presentations to passionate college/high school students interested in working in a creative corporate atmosphere.
