Customer Service Agent

Current

Glasgow, Scotland, United Kingdom

Starting this role I began on the phone taking calls from customers regarding mortgages. After 6 months I was offered an opportunity to switch campaigns from Secured to Unsecured, one that I took. After 2 months I returned to Secured and began taking calls regarding Mortgages again. In December of 2020 I was moved on to an internal project within Lloyds with a large number of other Wescot agents. Gradually the number was reduced and we were told this would come to an end, however, we became a group of 5 who stayed on the project until March 2023. The feedback we got from Lloyds was exceptional, and we were highly valued in all the work streams we did. At present, we have been asked to help in a new project which has been hugely successful and is noticed business wide, again being such a small group we all work hard as a team to prove this project as beneficial. We are each responsible for our own days work and a daily target.

Oct 2019 - Present

Supervisor

Glasgow, Scotland, United Kingdom

I had two spells during my time at McColls, changing from Store Team, to the Development Team, the second time the regional manager of Scotland came directly to me and asked if I would go and do it again. In 2018, I was tracked down again, this time by the head of our development team. During my time on both my stints on Development, I drove all over the country and even went to Northern Ireland. The first time I went on secondment I was involved in acquisitions, transforming stores that were bought over from other businesses. The second time we were leading a new project, and rebranding our own items. Although very daunting, leading an acquisition at the age of 19, I worked hard, and it paid off massively as I did it well, I always received positive feedback from the leaders of the entire project, and all managers. I, again, was head hunted by the manager for the whole of development to go back on to secondment with a high chance of having a permanent job at the end of the contract. I didn’t take this job opportunity as I knew I was returning to higher education. I learned to work independently and to organise my own team to get the job finished to the highest possible standards. As a Supervisor I was acting manager three times in a last year. My daily tasks as a supervisor included; booking in deliveries, making claims, processing wages and hours worked by each member of staff, completing daily bankings and safe checks, and opening and closing the store. I was responsible for processing paperwork such as lotto paperwork, scratch card paperwork and bus tickets. Stores were under a lot of pressure to meet store targets with profit, daily active sales and general time management. I work almost as a relief manager/supervisor, for example, I used to go and cover any holidays of managers, stores without a manager. I worked in many different stores, opening and closing stores, and trying to make a difference to the standard of each.

Customer Service Staff

Glasgow, Scotland, United Kingdom

I previously worked in Sainsbury’s. In Sainsbury’s I worked in the Fresh department. In fresh we took out daily code checking, this means that we code check every product of short life and on certain days check the long life also. We also turned stock, remembering to rotate stock, bringing closest dates to the front. We also focused on availability of products.

Oct 2015 - Dec 2016

Receptionist

Wonderworld Softplay

Glasgow, Scotland, United Kingdom

I used to work at Wonder world soft play, which I enjoyed. During a working day I had to help maintain a good service to all customers; approaching in a friendly and welcoming manner and offering to take away anything they have finished with. In Wonder World I often dressed up as a character and went out to dance with all of the children. I feel this job has provided me with more confidence in the public and greater communication skills. I worked on reception, meaning I was responsible for greeting the customers warmly, making them feel comfortable, and calling various different announcements over the tannoy. At the end of every day we made sure that the workplace is spotless for the next working day.
