As an EDI/834 Data Scientist Processing Specialist, I manage and optimize the Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) process, focusing on 834 transactions that handle health benefits enrollment and eligibility information. This includes ensuring seamless and accurate data exchange between payroll systems, healthcare providers, and other stakeholders.Key responsibilities include:EDI 834 File Processing: Creating, testing, and moving ANSI 834 files to production, while ensuring compliance with industry standards such as HIPAA 5010 and ANSI X12.Data Analysis and Machine Learning: Applying machine learning models and predictive analytics to identify patterns in enrollment data, improving data quality and operational efficiency. I also use SQL and Python to clean, query, and transform large datasets.System Integration and Troubleshooting: Collaborating with team leads and external carriers to monitor file feeds, address integration issues with payroll systems, and ensure all processes run smoothly.Collaboration and Data-Driven Decisions: Leveraging data insights to streamline operations and working with internal teams to enhance integration processes, ensuring data accuracy and compliance across all platforms.This role integrates my skills in machine learning, data analysis, and EDI, enabling a proactive approach to managing data pipelines and improving decision-making through the use of advanced analytics.
