Advisor for boat Maintenance, contracted with the U.S. Embassy in Latin America.> Provide technical boat maintenance expertise, technical assistance, and training on behalf of INL in support of host-nation efforts to improve operational and managerial capability of the Government of Costa Rica (GoCR) (SNGC), and to enable patrol boat engineers to maintain safe operational status of assigned watercraft. > Lead numerous boat repair projects supporting the Collaborative Regional Security and Rule of Law Program: The Central America Regional Security Initiative (CARSI) for Costa Rica.> Work closely with officials from US Navy/Coast Guard, SNGC, as well as with key representatives of maritime institutions from the region to increase organizational awareness and build trust. > Maintain open, timely, and effective communications with the INL/Costa Rica Team Leader and with the INL/WHP Director on issues falling under the scope of work, resulting in a relationship that proactively addresses potential problems with flexible, workable solutions.

Conducted home inspections as part of the organization’s federal response and recovery effort following natural disasters throughout the United States and Puerto Rico. Tactical Maritime Technology Technician partnered and trained alongside the National Aeronaval Service of Panama, a branch of the Panamanian Public Forces, comprised of 2,500 personnel, 45 boats and 40 aircraft which carries out naval and air operations. Its role is to perform protection, surveillance, security and defense of the air and maritime jurisdictional areas. Partnered closely with Panamanian Public Forces, developed and trained the National Aeronaval Service of Panama Forces (known as SENAN) in tactical communications on their maritime program. Subject Matter Expert and primary point of contact for senior government leaders and the U.S. Embassy Country Team regarding maritime issues and maritime operations within Panama.
