I drive AWS cloud adoption as the leader of a global team of Solution Architects and strategists specializing in multi-cloud expertise (AWS and Azure). We deliver actionable industry insights that differentiate AWS in a competitive cloud landscape. My team supports global strategic customers in technical pre-sales, migrations, and competitive bake-offs, ensuring seamless transitions and success. We craft compelling messaging, programs, and content that empower the sales field to excel in customer-obsessed, competitor-savvy engagements.Additionally, I shape the strategic direction for a global team of Solution Architects (SAs) and Business Development Managers (BDMs) focused on the rapidly evolving generative AI competitive landscape. Our team delivers actionable insights by briefing sales leaders, executives, and engineering teams on industry trends and competitor advancements. We conduct hands-on evaluations of leading frameworks and models, translating these insights into strategies that inform and enhance customer engagements, ensuring AWS remains at the forefront of innovation.

Led a team of Solution Architects co-engineering with Disney and Verizon to launch the first two Alexa Custom Assistants. My team was accountable for the skills developed by the partners as well as PM/TPM duties for new platform features required to launch custom assistant. Led the solution architecture team for Alexa Healthcare. Our team launched Alexa’s telehealth product, Alexa Pharmacy integration, Alexa’s Symptom Checker, and many other healthcare skills.

Dec 2019 – Dec 2020. Led Alexa’s Solution Architecture team for Music, Radio, and Podcasts. My team led co-development initiatives with Apple, Spotify, iHeartRadio, TuneIn, Amazon Music, and other music/radio providers to launch two new platform offerings: Radio Skills Kit (RSK) and Alexa Podcasts SDK.

Led the team that launched Alexa in the Spanish US market. Responsibilities included technical product management across engineering teams delivering features required to launch the new market and the new locale. My team was also responsible for the key launch experiences (e.g., Televisa, Univision, La Musica, etc.).

July through December, led a team of engineers who delivered ports of top media & entertainment experiences for Windows Mixed Reality launch. We successfully ported over forty experiences, including apps like Jaunt VR, Next VR, Sliver TV, LittlStar, Hulu VR, Inception VR, Life VR, The Blu, Sony Ghost Busters, Rose and I, Asteroids!VR , Invasion!VR, The People's House, Move Studio, Free the Night, and many others. Post-launch, I led the partner engineering and technical enablement in an early adoption program for Windows MR in location-based entertainment. We delivered rapid incubation, vetting, and adoption of new platform features that differentiate Windows Mixed Reality in LBE scenarios, such as VR Arcades, kiosks, and large-scale, multi-player arenas.

Responsible for middleware & SDKs partner ecosystem for Universal Apps. Tasks include selecting partners, establishing synergistic relationships, co-development porting their products to Universal platform and joint execution of go-to-market and adoption programs. Scenarios include game engines, display ads, user acquisition, attribution, analytics and cross-platform development frameworks.

Lead a team of four people who managed the engineering relationships with Microsoft’s top game publishers to deliver great games on Windows, Windows Phone and Xbox. Partners managed included King, Gameloft, Disney, Outfit 7, Toca Boca, Kabam, Sago Sago, and many others. This team also drove partner engineering engagement for third party middleware ( e.g. Unity, Marmalade) and open source libraries for casual games that needed to be ready for Windows 10 release (e.g. Cocos2d-x, ANGLE, Facebook SDK for WIndows, etc.). As the leader in the team, I defined our overall gaming engagement strategy, the technical readiness for our team and for a 50+ games evangelists in the world-wide field.

Lead a team of ten multi-faceted engineers in Microsoft's Developer Experience (DX) Global ISV partner engineering team. Our team had two key tasks/audiences: Core engineering drove deep co-engineering engagements with Microsoft's top managed partners. Our engagement ranged from short architectural design sessions, to joint hackathons that drove proof of concept applications, all the way to co-engineering of SDKs or applications. Core engineering team did not have a vertical expertise but most of our engagements were in media (e.g. NBC, Comcast, Spotify, Nascar, PGA, etc.), social (e.g Facebook, Twitter) and devices (e.g. Fitbit). The solutions developed included both the client and cloud components, using Microsoft Azure. The games team provided the same technical enablement as I did in my prior role, but now with core engineering we also implemented the cloud backend, when needed.

I was part of the team that partners with Microsoft’s top game publishers to deliver great games on Windows, Windows Phone and Xbox. My responsibilities ranged from portfolio selection, training partners, architectural guidance, coding advice, and streamlining the submission and promotion process. As a senior technical leader and mentor in the team, I also contributed to overall gaming strategy, define technical readiness, industry event participation, and drove strategic technology partnerships with gaming middleware vendors.

I created and drove strategy, content and programs for hundreds of field evangelists to do Windows developer outreach. Our breadth programs and content reached several millions developers world-wide. I was also the evangelism track owner for the Windows presence at two //build events – //build is Microsoft’s premier developer outreach event. As track owner, I coordinated speakers and topics for hundreds of sessions, participated in the leadership team that defined technical message, and contributed to keynotes messaging and delivered keynote demos.I also acted as liaison between Windows engineering and strategic partners; providing technical advice to the partners and capturing their requirements and platform gaps to drive future Windows features. Some of the projects I drove in 2013 had visibility at the CEO level within Microsoft.

Led consulting teams that created several of the most downloaded Windows Phone apps in the first 18 months. I architected, project managed and coded on the official Facebook and Twitter app for Windows Phone. I also acted as technical advisor to other top apps such as YouTube, Shazam, and Foursquare. Led Windows Phone evangelism by speaking at events, training strategic partners, and pioneering internal processes to boost app quality and design excellence.

I worked with many fortune 500 companies and top Microsoft ISVs on early adoption for WPF and Silverlight. I architected and coded in some of the largest, most complex apps that adopted these technologies. Some of the early adopters I worked with include Morgan Stanley, Credit Suisse, Thomson Reuters, OTTO, Turner, GE Healthcare, Lawson, Intuit, Seesmic, BBC, NBC, and MLB.

Defined and contributed to application development strategies of enterprise customers and some of Microsoft’s Global largest ISVs. I had most exposure and drove vertical expertise on healthcare, financials, and manufacturing industries. My responsibilities included architecture, coding, project management in deliveries of high-profile projects. H&R Block, Utilicorp, Rockwell, Honeywell, Siemens, and ABB Robotics are a few of the customers I worked with.

Core team member of small start-up building a social, mobile app. I am one of three co-owners of overall architecture with a server-side scale to hundreds of thousands of users; I make the recommendations and deliver the front-end development of the web app, using HTML5/CSS/JavaScript and web frameworks (jQuery). I architect and implement the mobile web app (using jQuery mobile), the native iOS app (using Objective-C) and Android app (using Xamarin and C#). In typical startup mode, I have gained hands-on exposure and participate on marketing strategy and analytics to drive user acquisition and retention.

Led a team of front-end developers creating an asset inventory and management solution that automated attack & penetration scans and then created inventory to secure the largest organizations and governments around the world. Software could be hosted on and off-site. SQL Server on the database, ASP .NET for web management, and Win32 desktop applications.

Climbed through the developer, lead developer, up to sole development manager ranks for a team of ~40 people (dev + product + QA). Architected and shipped the company’s flag-ship product, taking an outdated 16-bit app and converting it to a beautiful, modern, extensible (plug-in oriented), COM-based architecture that worked well for Win32 desktop apps and web (components were reused online via ASP .NET). Post my departure, GeoAccess was acquired by Ingenix, part of United Healthcare.

I had company-wide R&D responsibilities setting strategy for mobile and portable computing. I contributed to Windows CE and Palm OS mobile apps and created many reusable components to automate in-hospital processes by interacting with peripherals such as smartcards, ink recognition, and barcode readers. Our stack was Windows based, Visual Studio & Visual basic.
