Responsible for supporting all U.S. Commercial functions, including President - Cold Beverages, President - Coffee and Chief Marketing and Concentrate Officer, along with all Litigation for Keurig Dr Pepper. Leads a team of five supporting these functions.

Responsible for management and oversight of commercial litigation and corporate transactional matters for Keurig Dr Pepper’s global operations, including reviewing, drafting, negotiating and facilitating contracts, agreements and transactions; advising business personnel on contractual matters; assisting with various complex commercial agreements and transactions; handling risk management and insurance matters; managing litigation; and developing, conducting and implementing training programs for sales, purchasing and other departments to best ensure legal compliance and protection of Keurig Dr Pepper’s interests in all transactions. Provide sound legal advice that addresses business concerns, find creative solutions to contractual issues to reach resolution, taking a pragmatic approach to balancing legal risks against business interests. Develop and execute strategic and tactical legal initiatives affecting the company’s operations. Provide Keurig Dr Pepper’s senior management with effective advice on company policy, strategies and their implementation. Work with business development on new company initiatives and new brand partnerships. Assist in ongoing business relationships with retailers, distributors, suppliers and other business partners. Manage and develop other law department personnel.

Serve as Burton’s chief legal officer and oversee all legal affairs of the company. Lead and manage all global legal matters pertaining to the organization, including corporate governance, commercial transactions, intellectual property, brand licensing, real estate, employment, regulatory and litigation matters. Partner with other key business leaders at Burton to align legal strategies and priorities within the global business framework. Provide advice and strategic counsel on intellectual property portfolio and risk management programs. Manage global intellectual property portfolio, including filing of trademark and patent applications, prosecution, registration strategies and brand licensing for the Burton, Channel Islands Surfboards, anon, Analog and Gravis brands. Establish, maintain and monitor long-term business goals, departmental goals, objectives, policies, and programs as they relate to the global legal and compliance functions. Establish and manage legal budget in accordance with Burton’s global financial plan and drive expense management strategies. Advise Burton senior management on the implications of new, revised, or proposed laws and regulations, court decisions, orders and general business law affecting the company and industry.
