Border Kindness provides services and interventions such as food, shelter, clothing, and medical care to protect and nurture vulnerable migrants and asylum seekers at the US/Mexico border. Over 3.5 years we have grown the program, including strategic planning, program development, hiring a staff of 20, recruiting volunteers, fundraising, grant writing, and logistics.• Opened a kitchen which has served 400,000+ meals to refugees in shelters.• Launched transportation services from Mexicali to San Diego for asylum seekers’ hearings. • Established a legal services program offering free legal advice and document translation. • Opened and funded a health clinic to fill a need left when Doctors Without Borders ended their services. • Created the Education Empowerment Center funded by a grant secured from the NBA Players Association• Routinely monitored program progress and identified best practices, lessons learned, and areas for improvement, including short-term technical assistance needs• Collaborated with fellow NPO and NGO's including UNHCR, Doctors Without Borders, USAID, Amnesty International and Save the Children.

Mojave Animal Protection creates education & advocacy programs that inspire & empower people to protect the flora & fauna of the Mojave Desert ecoregion. More recently, we have extended our services into the border region of Mexico and work with fellow organizations to advocate for both animal & environmental issues.

Founded a B Corporation funding the Il Ngwesi Conservancy in Kenya through supporting female entrepreneurship in the Maasai Tribe. • Built partnerships with the Maasai Tribe and various nonprofits to create pathways to fund the community-owned and directed wildlife conservancy.• Managed corporation formation, including business plan formation, brand development, filing for trademarks, website content development, and social media marketing. • Coordinated input and facilitated internal review process to support the development of program work.

The Rose Women’s Organization is a $1M, donor-advised endowment that provides funding to nonprofits focused on women’s and children’s advocacy. • Managed the organization’s relationship with the Rose Community Foundation, the endowment’s administrator.• Directed fundraising, events, networking, and identification of potential grantees.• Led annual grantmaking events, including evaluating grantee applications, granted and oversaw disbursement of funds, and reviewed partner reports.

WCF is a clean air advocacy group focused on strengthening methane containment laws and regulations. Led the development of the Colorado Moms Know Best project, a volunteer-based, grassroots advocacy group working to strengthen clean air laws to protect Colorado families.• Recruited, trained, and motivated volunteers to attend press conferences, meetings with public officials, and events.• Testified in front of the EPA and Colorado Public Health regarding fracking legislation.• Spoke at environmental events and provided media interviews to local and national outlets.
