Over the past six months, I have successfully led an investigative documentary project, which will air this fall, from pitch to approval and project management. For the past four and a half years, I have been a Stream Producer, responsible for curating and editing newscasts. My duties include editing individual stories using Media Central and Composer, and strategically stacking them between our branded weather updates every ten minutes and top stories. I maintain constant communication with the Assignment Desk for breaking news and updates, and with Meteorologists. My primary focus is on the continuous news stream, which includes live events such as press conferences from government officials. Additionally, I coordinate with a hospital PR representative for weekly/monthly health interviews, which I produce live, in-studio. For these segments, I gather information, write anchor questions, edit visuals including b-roll and graphics, and create web copy to drive online engagement. In situations of breaking news, such as the rapid spread of the Avian Flu, I quickly coordinate with relevant contacts to provide timely expert commentary. My role involves ensuring the seamless integration of live content with our continuous news stream, enhancing the overall viewer experience and driving engagement across platforms.

After getting promoted from Associate Producer (assisting someone else execute their tasks and goals) to Producer (making decisions on my own), I took charge of a segment (about 7-9 minutes long) every day. I pitched stories for that segment, which focused on entertainment. During the morning editorial meeting, we discussed how pop culture was making an impact on society for that day to create thoughtful conversations, talking points and compelling discussions for a live, daily talk show.

For nearly two years, my role kept the flow of seven seasons of Tiny House, Big Living on schedule by the network's (HGTV) agenda. I had the role of project manager for 5-9 episodes of a TV production season. I casted for the series along with other HGTV shows based around construction and building.
