In 2003, My job application was declined by a Call Center in India. Today, I have built one of the Largest Call Center & BPO Company in the Middle East. It's a Journey that weaves a tale of resilience and ambition, coming full circle.Back Story: I was born into a lower-middle-class family in India, where dreams often outsize resources. At 19, fueled by ambition, I stepped into the bustling streets of Dubai, fresh out of college with aspirations towering above the city's skyscrapers. My initial days in Dubai were a testament to perseverance. I remember the cramped apartment I shared, counting every dirham, working as an IT engineer. The pay was meager, barely enough to cover necessities, but it was my gateway to a larger world. In 2004, an opportunity knocked in the form of a techno-commercial role. This job peeled back the curtains to the world of Sales, a domain often intimidating to engineers. I dove in headfirst, driven by a passion for business strategy. Soon, I was navigating the intricate dance of selling enterprise solutions across Dubai, reveling in each challenge and success. The ascent was rapid; by 2008, I was the sales director. But then, the recession came and i moved out of that company. I stood at a crossroads, Jobless, but not Visionless. That setback was the catalyst for my entrepreneurial journey. With eight years of corporate wisdom, I embarked on a venture in 2009, right in the midst of economic turmoil. My company, offering a medley of IT services like cloud solutions and call center consulting, was a dream taking flight against strong headwinds. Those early days of hard work and uncertainty made us understand the importance of customer service as each client gone would have costed us our livelihood.Gradually, our bootstrapped venture carved its niche in the industry.Fuelled by this success, we expanded into BPO services in 2014 after multiple pivots. Now, my company stands proud with over a thousand employees and a Company Valued today more than 150 Million USD. After 38 years in this relentless pursuit, my life's journey feels like it's just begun. There's a world yet to explore, and countless experiences waiting. If you do not see me working, either i am with my Wife as she has always got my back in all good and bad times or I can be found teaching my kids about Love, Life, or Entrepreneurship. My LinkedIn is all about growing a business in the middle-east, understanding taxes, business and hiring in depth.Letโs connect if any of the above topics are of interest to you!Best,Jai Mulani
