I am a licensed Marriage Family Therapist in private practice in Santa Rosa, CA. I also hold a doctorate in clinical psychology and continue to study the fascinating thing we call the self. I use one-on-one counseling with adults, teens and children, EMDR, hypnosis and group/family counseling to help patients find a more fulfilling life.I have been in private practice for 30 years, and before getting a license in California, I was a rehabilitation counselor for seriously injured workers in Portland, Oregon. Much of what I learned about rehabilitation I have used working with patients who have chronic pain or injury, anxiety or depression about work and work-related issues.I have recently published a fictionalized account of my work with soldiers and their families, poems that recount the progress of those with PTSD, "Songs for My Heroes".
