First 2 years with IGP were mainly about manage legacy code, restructure/redesign of the code, UI/UX, database bringing in more stability, scalability, uptime. IGP's traffic is completely festival driven, which essentially required a flexible structure that could be scaled up/down easily.The last 2 years have majorly been into the complete overhaul of the platform as well as the product. Key highlights: - Responsible for building the technology roadmap, deliverables. - SOA driven, Java APIs/micro services at the backend, Nodejs and JQuery at the front-end. - Building and mentoring teams that covers Development, UI/UX, QA, DevOps. - Ensuring the architecture, scalability, uptime of the website. - Now working towards building progressive web app (using React.js), and, accelerated mobile pages. - Revamping the complete Backend Panel (In house and for sellers both) in Angular.Tech stack includes: LAMP, Amazon services (EC2, RDS, Elasticache, SES, CDN, Route 53, Storage S3), Java8, Solr, Redis, Node.js (Express), Handlebars, Neo4j, React.js, AngularJs, Spring MVC

The idea was to bring about a marriage between Facebook, Gmail, Google drive/calendar/docs, Hootsuite, and, a few other useful products. In short, the idea was to build a one stop for all apps (web and mobile both). - Began my career as a Software Engineer working with the Job Search team of Naukri. - Worked with the team for around 4 years, mainly into LAMP, C.- I still remember my first task was to setup master-master replication (Mysql) on the same machine. Had an amazing time doing that. Tasks like those gave me enough decent exposure to lead projects / web apps from the scratch.- My last 3+ years with Naukri were really interesting and challenging. The new responsibility was of a software architect.- Key highlights as the software architect: - Responsible for the complete Jobseeker side of Naukri, - The idea was to profile the priority components, look for scope of optimizations, and, drive the plan through closely with the development team, concluding it with number comparisons understanding the benefit gained from the operation. - Introduce newer tools, technologies, creating POCs before sharing with the development team for implementation. - My major POCs include Mogile (Distributed File system, solved the issue of managing 15+ million resumes, 650+ GBs in size, other contenders we figured were Hadoop, Gluster), XSLT, Facebook bigpipe concept. - Lead the team of 2 developers to prepare RESTful web services from the scratch for serving and managing resumes, with Mogile to be used as the underlying DFS. - Major front-end and back-end optimizations which eventually helped serving the same amount of traffic with 60% of server resources used earlier. - Had even corrected and submitted the bug fix for an open source library that converts doc/docx/pdf to plain text (which was used to convert resumes into index-able plain text).Specialities: LAMP, JQuery, Mogile, C, Mogile, Optimizations, JSON.
