I look into the need of the hour (-- 'Century') - the ESG data and assist in the formulation of the ESG Data Strategy for the Bank.

I look at the Wealth Proposition as well as products like FX, Insurance, Investments, Brokerage & Securities. While I solve business problems analytically in the above areas, SAS/R/Python are the major programming languages I put to use and hypothesis driven problem solving/Statistical Modeling/Deep learning/Simulations are few of the tools deployed.In my 8 years with HSBC and on going, I have worked across geographies - Europe, Americas, AsiaPacific and across different verticals - Products, Customer segments, Wealth covering both the Assets and Liabilities side of the bank. I have also lived and worked in Mainland China for close to 3 years. Over time I have learnt new programming languages like R and Python and harnessed my Project management skills. I work on Machine learning & AI and very much interested in applying different algorithms and techniques to solve various business problems.

After completing nearly 1.5 years with the Assets team in Bangalore, I moved to the ASP Regional Liabilities team in Guangzhou. I work primarily for the Malaysia, Singapore, China and Australian markets. My work comprises of interacting with the people in the analytics community, Proposition and Product teams within the local markets. A glimpse of my analyses include - Premier customer Segmentation, enhancing International Proposition, implementing consistent FX segmentation, Modeling initiatives to tackle attrition.A large part of what I do is also dedicated towards development of event triggers and evaluation, customer centric triggers, their implementation, commercialization and measurement of effectiveness. I regularly update the country teams on the performance of the triggers and do a lot of deep-dives around driving revenue growth.

I worked for the UK Liabilities team for nearly 2.5 years. My main role there was to look after the Savings, Wealth and Investments Portfolio and drive analytics decisions to help them do better. There were analyses pertaining to Liquidity measurement, Flow of funds, Inflows and Outflows, Pricing Elasticity measurement, Cross-sell, Next Best product, Revenue measurement, Dormancy and predicting Customer attrition.I interacted with the Analytics counterparts, Product managers, CVM heads and Proposition Managers in UK.I worked for the ASP Assets team for nearly 2 years covering all the main markets - Malaysia, Singapore, Australia, Phillipines, China, Indonesia and India. My primary engagement was on driving growth for the Cards business and some of the key analyses include - Customer segmentation, Incremental revenue computation from Balance Build programs, Proposition comparison, Rewards and redemptions, Driving strategies around Transactors in the cards base, development of Comprehensive tracker which is a framework to look at revenue and leads for campaigns and triggers.

Mu Sigma is a third party organization providing best in class analytics solutions across several verticals - Insurance, IT, Retail, Pharma, F&B, etc.I worked for the Insurance business before moving to Retail. Within the Insurance arena, I was designing and making dashboards which were being used by Product Managers to make their daily decisions. I also worked on Market-mix models and implemented strategies to drive the business for some of the major Insurance companies of the world. I worked for a Retail giant where my prime job was to drive analytics around product placements at aisles in the Retail stores for higher sales and increased revenue.

MXV is into operations, strategy and HR consulting. The founders and partners are ex-employees from McKinsey and BCG. I worked on a Sales improvement project for a pioneer in the beverages business, highlighting to the client the key areas of sales effectiveness as a part of the first phase of the project. In the second stage, I entered into the implementation cycle helping the sales organization take the required steps to have a state-of-the-art sales system in place. In the final stage, I delivered a 2 day training to the sales force in batches for introducing the new systems and the practice of technology.
