As a Ph.D graduate in Clinical Psychology, my research interests are in psychologist training and supervision, Health Psychology, Primary Care Psychology, Outcome Measures, Evidence Based Practice in Psychology (EBPP) implementation and Behavioral Health Clinic administration. My psychotherapy practice is informed by EBPP and integrative psychotherapy. I work with several psychological frameworks. Some of these are: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, ACT, Trauma Informed Solution Focused, Behavioral Activation and CBT-Pain while constantly acquiring and improving skills to apply in therapy. Also, I've been leading teams and workgroups since 2012. My focus is efficiency, effectiveness and staff satisfaction. In previous companies in Puerto Rico I successfully led and supervised a newly formed team from the start-up of the company through its administrative changes. Working with corporative tools and methods and those developed by me and my teammates, I adapted and improved operation processes required to comply with the regulators in Puerto Rico, Medicaid, ASES and NCQA. I co-lead the operational restructuring and training of the Utilization Management department informed by the Lean Six Sigma methodology.
