Responded to the Government’s Operation Bushfire Assistance 2019, to assist with bushfire recovery tasks, particularly in the east coast NSW and ACT regions. Led a team of soldiers to undertake road clearance to open closed roads, deliver food and water to isolated towns, remove debris to protect and allow access to infrastructure. I supervised 25 Indonesian military personnel, who assisted with our bushfire recovery.This job is part time in addition to my current full time employment.

I lead a team to deliver on objectives of the Government's self managed insurance fund, Comcover. This includes financial and contract management, and performance.

I lead a team to deliver on policy implementation on the Lands Acquisition Act 1989 (LAA) and the Public Works Committee Act 1969 (PWC). It is a fast paced role with a broad scope of work, such as advising Commonwealth entities on acquiring land, managing compensation claims (working closely with lawyers) after Commonwealth compulsory acquirement using the LAA, managing applications for mining on Commonwealth land, and providing advice and progressing compulsory acquisition of property. This include acquiring relevant land to support the development of the Western Sydney Airport, expansion of Melbourne Airport, and National Intermodal Corporation. I manage a team to deliver on referring Commonwealth public work proposals to the PWC Committee, provide advice to Commonwealth entities on the process and requirements under the PWC. I liaiseed with executives across the Commonwealth and Parliamentary staff. In this role, I lead a team of four staff members with differing experiences and characteristics, understanding complex legislation and legal advices to prepare ministerial advice, and maintain stakeholder engagement across the Commonwealth.

Leading a team to deliver quality policy and strategic contestability function in Defence. Coordinating and engaging with a number of key executive stakeholders across Defence to enable in discussion and identification of financial risks and possible mitigation strategies. This assists with managing the Defence budgeting task and managing financial pressures. Our work assists with the delivery of Defence outcomes and the Defence Integrated Investment Program.

Responded to the Government’s call-out for APS assistance with processing a surge of welfare claims relating to COVID19 financial assistance. Processed claims through making direct phone calls, reviewing claim information against welfare legislation and policies, and coordinating with social workers to get the best outcome for those Australians impacted by COVID19.

The team also administers the Clean Energy Finance Corporation (CEFC) policy jointly with the Environment Department.• Assisted with developing legislation to establish the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Land Fund, and its passage in Parliament.• Undertake independent research and draft ministerial briefs, correspondence, meeting briefs, media releases, Senate estimate and Question Time Briefings.• Provide policy advice on governance requirements and the ongoing role of the investment funds and the CEFC.• Created financial models and estimates, and undertaken research to assist Government’s decision making on new policy proposals.

I contributed to the benefit realisation team relating to Defence's major HR programme, Defence One. Key achievements: Developed and refined existing benefit profiles and maps to a more matured and detailed benefit profile template that shows outcomes, attributes, measurements, risk and issues, and also calculates a benefit achievability index based on risks. Developed new program report template intended for senior leaders. The new report shows the different status of the various areas within the program and encasing them with the capability life cycle process.

I worked as an financial accountant in the Defence Integrated Investment Program team. I assisted in managing Government's approved Defence projects in the program. Key achievements: Assisted with the approval of numerous major Defence military proposals for Government consideration, developed briefing packs, executive minutes and authorised documentation supporting the transfer of funds to the appropriate areas.

Key achievements: Assisted with increased visibility of actual risks and issues to senior leaders to make decisions by producing more accurate, clear and understandable risk reports. Guided other projects to employ consistent risk and issues management, to allow greater reporting of all HR projects. Assisted with scheduling and reporting functions as well.

Key achievements: Developed in a short timeframe, representation of the current Defence Logistics System's capability, operational and system views, compliant with DoDAF, it was used to communicate and support to the Chief Technology Officer of his new Defence Logistics Roadmap.

I have worked as a Senior Corporate Tax officer to enhance Thomson Reuters's OneSource product. I have engaged with ATO stakeholders to ensure alignment with ATO's XBRL compatibility with OneSource - This enabled seamless corporate tax return submissions for major multinational clients. I had also worked on the project to design and implement the-then Minerals Resource Rent Tax in OneSource.
