I am highly passionate about advancing gene transfer and editing technology for effective gene and adoptive cell therapy against cancers and genetic diseases. Over years of my research training, I have gained a major expertise of development and validation of nonviral-based approaches (e.g. transposon, CRISPR/Cas9 technology) for CAR T cell adoptive therapy and miRNA replacement therapy with augmented therapeutic efficacy and safety for treating cancers in preclinical models. Alongside my main research focus, I have also engaged in several research projects to generate and assess the next-generation adeno-associated virus (AAV) vector platform for treatments of rare genetic disorders. I am excited and look forward to contributing to transformative innovation, which would address unmet patient needs and ultimately make gene and adoptive cell therapy more efficient, more feasible, and safer to people.
