I currently work with DEME(Dredging international/DEME offshore) in the Fleet Engineering department as a part of Central Fleet Support at headquarters in Antwerp, Belgium. With a strong background in Finite Element calculations and with proper knowledge of rules and regulations, it was possible for me to solve most of the issues thrown at me. This ranges from the creation of Cargo hold (FEM) model for analyzing structural strength of vessel to the bottom support shaft design of trunnion gantries. Also, with my background in workability and stability, I have ensured that our vessels are always working within the bounds of DR68.Previously I worked with Damen Shipyard, U.A.E as a Project Engineer tasked with the construction of new builds. The position required to oversee the production of vessels as well. Additionally, I was required to manage personnel and ultimately delivering a vessel up to the set quality standards in a safe and reliable manner. Working in the production facility supported my theoretical understanding of hull structures, piping layouts, small steel works, electrical routing, and commissioning of the vessel. I holds a Bachelors degree in Naval Architecture from CUSAT, India and a Masters in Naval architeture (EMSHIP-Erasmus Mundus program) from Europe. Moreover, I have completed six-month training in Bureau Veritas to define weather criteria for estuary plus region by conducting seakeeping analysis on inland navigational vessels.
