As a Print Production Engineer I am responsible for the installation, repair, and maintenance of all aspects of print production devices to a specified standard, carrying out customer support and demonstrations when required in order to provide the highest level of service to our customers.Within the role I respond to call outs in a timely and professional manner, identifying and resolving technical faults and undertaking all technical modifications as they arise whilst providing advice and training to customers on all aspects of the machines functions in order to ensure that customers are fully aware of and utilise the full capabilities of the installed device. I undergo relevant training as directed, which will include computer based training, in order to ensure I have an up to date knowledge of all Konica Minolta production print products.To ensure that I am successful in this role, I build strong working relationships and communicate effectively with Technical Specialists, Service Managers, Work Controllers, Sales, and any relevant department within the company but also with customers and colleagues.The area I cover contains the following machines - B&W - 1250/ 1250P/ 1052/ 951 and the colour machines C1070/C1070P/C1060 / PRO C1060L / C1100 / C1085.I am fully trained on all of Konica Minolta's colour Print Production products up to the latest release of the C1100 / C1085. I am also trained on all of the Konica Minolta high end B&W products.

I started off in 2012 as a UK apprentice field service technician - Based in Sunderland, working in Sunderland, Newcastle, York, Teesside, Birmingham, Milton Keynes and Essex. Working for Konica Minolta Business Solutions (UK) Ltd we specialise in the provision of Digital Print Production solutions and end-to-end Managed Print and Document Management Services and Solutions through our exclusive Optimised Print Services methodologies and consultative approaches. With our range of global award winning Multi-Functional and Digital Print Production technologies, Konica Minolta is able to streamline customer’s document and print workflows, increase operational efficiency and reduce overall effect on the environment with our green technologies.My role as a (trainee) was to spend time studying, IT, Networking, solutions, Document workflow, technical services, Customer service skills, Soft basic skills. On a daily basis I will go to customer offices to take a look at their machines, where I will fault find, using troubleshooting techniques, repair the machine and give outstanding customer service. I have also spent time in Administration, Logistics, Workshop and Training courses. I have built my knowledge up over the last 12 month to the point where I am able to fault find to a high level. Working for Konica Minolta I have built my connections and network drastically, I have been lucky enough to travel the UK and work with a large number of people, from sales, to IT, to Admin, Technical specialists and Trainers.I have now passed my apprenticeship year.
