Jake Abrahams is a graduate from the University of Houston who studied strategic communications with a concentration in advertising, aiming for roles in the marketing & advertising industry. He is currently aiming to sharpen his leadership and creative skills and looking to expand his knowledge in different areas of advertising. On campus, he was involved in multiple organizations including the UH Water Polo Club & American Advertising Federation.After completing the 2019-2020 NBA season with the Houston Rockets as a marketing associate intern, he learned valuable professional skills such as customer communications, efficient multi-tasking, organization, and teamwork. Through these experiences, he understood the value and importance of customer service and how to effectively provide the best customer experience within the sports industry. After completing a summer internship with Love Advertising, Jake assisted in the development of a tagline used for the national DPAC natural gas safety advertising campaign. Additionally, he produced compelling copy for a plethora of clients including Gallery Furniture, Shell, Perry’s Steakhouse, & Ashlar Development. He also collaborated with various departments such as brand, media, & public relations on numerous creative projects focused on increasing brand exposure. During his time at Malone Media Group, Jake contributed to various advertising tasks such as writing compelling advertising for both radio and television production, coordinating production of all advertising elements from voice, editing, to broadcast, making sure advertising adheres to various state and federal laws, ensuring all commercials are 100% error free and compelling to the consumer, as well as meeting monthly production deadlines and quotas. Additionally he worked as a SEM analyst in which he conducted in-depth data analysis using Google Ads to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement. Jake assisted in YouTube & Display advertisement uploads for various automotive clients. Lastly, he helped implement a comprehensive monthly audit on the account performance metrics including tracking conversion rates, impressions, average CPCs, etc.
