I am currently a Senior in the Mas Honors Program at Christopher Columbus High School in Miami, Florida with a 4.46 GPA and 1350 SAT. A member of the National Honor Society, my academic strength is mathematics. Already an AP Scholar, I will graduate having completed 5 AP classes including Statistics, Psychology, Environmental Science, Micro- and Macro-Economics. I am dual-enrolled at St. Thomas University and will complete college-level courses in Social Justice, Computer Applications and U.S. Government prior to graduation. My passion is music. I began studying Classical Guitar at the age of seven. I have studied at Le Domaine Forget International Music Academy in Quebec, Canada for 5 years, with Young Musicians Unite for 10 years, and with The University of Miami Frost School of Music for 2 summers. In addition to classical guitar, I play electric guitar in a rock band “Avalanche” and the Christopher Columbus High School Concert Band. I have taken music theory and production classes, and enjoy creating music with Logic Pro X. I have performed live in nearly 50 shows for audiences of up to 1,000 people. By graduation 2021, I will have completed more than 100 hours of public service, primarily through my work with Young Musicians Unite, raising $10,000 for music education and providing 20 hours of peer instruction on classical guitar. My work experience includes internships with The Rhythm Foundation and Fortune 500 Company MasTec, among others. I am a fluent English speaker with modest conversational Spanish skills.
