Responsible for the day-to-day production output of the application gauging department.Communicate with relevent suppliers and vendors to ensure raw material and tooling availability. Prioritise and plan workload for a team of machinists to ensure deadlines are met.Responsible for the production of the Air Gauge product line ensuring high quality throughout the manufacturing process.

Worked as part of a team in the Application Gauging Department, where the work is fast-paced and requires the production of 1-30 components of varying sizes. Honed skills in programming on and offline, setting, and operating HAAS and Fanuc control CNC lathes and machining centers. Also gained further experience operating a wide range of manual machines such as universal and surface grinders, lathes and Bridgeport milling machines. Mentored in the use of Studer CNC grinders and Trimos inspection equipment.Began to oversee the manufacture and servicing of our air gauging line of products, ensuring quality and timely delivery.

Bowers took me on as 3rd year apprentice working in the Special Application Gauging Department, where I gained experience programming on and offline, setting and operating Haas and Fanuc CNC lathes and machining centres. I was also mentored and developed competency in operating various manual machines such as lathes, mills, surface grinders and universal grinders.

During my time at Pentair, I had the opportunity to work in different departments, including the machine shop, fitting, welding, quality and testing. This gave me exposure to a range of job roles and manufacturing processes.I received training in the use of Fanuc control Mori Seki CNC lathes, manual lathes, milling, and CMM machines.My experience at Pentair provided me with a strong foundation in mechanical engineering.Unfortunately, due to site closure I had to find a new employer in order to complete my apprenticeship.
