Once determined to be a total loss, a market evaluation would be completed on the vehicle, listing the year, make, and model, as well as, all vehicle features, miles. We would then identify vehicles in the current market that are for sale. Once compared to these vehicles, I would determine what the vehicle involved in the loss was worth prior to the loss. My payment authority was of the highest tier allowed by Farmers Insurance at up to $100,000 per vehicle assigned to me. I would pay out around $1,500,000 per year.
