Member of the Executive Team, collectively responsible for the development and delivery of the 10 year growth strategy :o Created a national multi-functional directorate encompassing development, property management, franchising, health and safety, corporate risk management, safeguarding and sustainability.o Exec lead on the development and delivery of a property strategy to support the repositioning of the YHA. o Restructured key property assets to ensure operational security whilst delivering growth in asset value.o Brought into the organisation skills from different sectors to change and evolve ways of working. Focused on providing efficient operational structures that deliver both the needs of the customer and strategic aims.o Led the reinvestment of over £40m capital plus £6m annual repair and maintenance budget in the YHA’s existing network of diverse properties to improve customer satisfaction scores and deliver growth.o Led on key new and expanding markets. For example – restructuring, expanding and refurbishing 1500 beds in London and acquiring and developing boutique youth hostel/hotels in key regional city and rural destinations.o Created JV’s with partners including Northumberland National Park Authority and Heritage Lottery Fund to fund a Youth Hostel and National Landscape Centre (The Sill).o Created a pop up to permanent 52 room youth hostel/hotel in partnership with the Eden Project, Cornwall
