Working as a team providing a Data Protection Officer Service to schools across Greater Manchester. Conducting an annual audit of all schools subscribed to the service and producing a report with recommendations for improving data protection practices. Managing a telephone and email helpline to take queries from schools and provide advice on data protection matters.Assisting schools in responding to data breaches, Subject Access Requests and Freedom of Information Requests, including providing detailed guidance and assisting in redactions.

Working as part of the UK's data protection regulator to help ensure that organisations are compliant with the data protection regulations. Investigating concerns reported by member of the public in order to determine whether organisations have complied with the legislation and using my knowledge and experience of the regulations to provide guidance to help prevent future breaches.Liaising with external organisations to gather an understanding of their data protection practices and produce an action plan to improve upon any weaknesses in their procedures to ensure ongoing compliance with the legislation.Build up a knowledge of the Data Protection Act 2018 and the General Data Protection Regulation and to understand how it applies to organisations in the UK.
