I Worked on the Loyalty Commerce Platform team, developing new features and improving existing features of the platform’s API. The team used Agile methodology, so I participated in all the team's ceremonies including daily scrum meetings, sprint planning and sprint retrospective meetings. Daily tasks included writing code to add a new feature to the API or to fix a bug and writing multiple tests to ensure the code works as intended. When I was not writing code, I was performing code reviews on other team member's code and sometimes testing them as a QA.One major project I worked on was to create a load testing application. At Thinnox I taught elementary school to high school students the basics of computer programming in Python, Java, C, C++, HTML and CSS.Lessons included basic software design principles and how to create unit tests for their projects to ensure that their code worked as intended. To ensure that students understood the lessons I created worksheets, with questions ranging in difficulty for the students. Student’s final projects included games, websites or simple AIs. I worked on two development tasks involving a password rule change and an altering encryption protocol. I also created an interactive web-based diagram of the BMO payment systems that interact with CIPG. After interviewing the developers in CIPG, consolidated their knowledge, prioritized which factors were most important to keep and how best to order the data. I then presented and demonstrated the final product to the team, as well as my supervisors, and created documentation on how to use the system I also facilitated and documented the outcomes from a team meeting focused on how to improve the workplace as a part of an employee satisfaction survey. I worked as a QA analyst on a software development team whose objective was to deliver wealth management software for large financial institutions. The team I was apart of used Agile methodology so I participated in ceremonies with the team, which included daily scrum meetings, sprint planning and sprint retrospective meetings. I wrote structured test scripts based on detailed specification documents from BAs and ensured they were tested and that the results got back to the developers as soon as possible to fix any issues. These tests involved inspecting the product’s GUI as well as looking through an SQL table to ensure that the correct data had been stored.
