While at UC Santa Cruz I gained precision in scientific communications and spectroscopic techniques through my research on electronic energy transfer in conjugated polyelectrolyte complexes in the Ayzner Group. While in the group, I used steady-state spectroscopy instruments, presented our research at a symposium, and generated publication-ready spectra. During my undergraduate studies at UC Santa Cruz, I developed a strong foundation in chemistry, complemented by extensive hands-on laboratory experience. The program equipped me with advanced skills in synthesis, characterization, and purification techniques, creating a deep understanding of both theoretical principles and practical applications.As a Teaching Assistant, I supported the professor by crafting educational materials and leading discussions that translated complex chemistry concepts into digestible lessons. This experience taught me a valuable lesson in scientific communication: combining clear physical descriptions with concrete examples creates an engaging and comprehensive learning environment.
