I studied the electronic energy transfer between conjugated polyelectrolytes as a function of time to determine their altered degrees of energy transfer efficiency with respect to their structure. I studied and executed the creation of polyelectrolyte complex solutions and performed UV-Vis and photoluminescence spectroscopy (PL) measurements on these conjugated polyelectrolyte complexes. I maintained a clean and organized laboratory environment, ensured compliance with EH&S safety protocols; as well as analyzed experimental data utilizing MATLAB software and contributed to the interpretation of results for a potential publication. I participated in weekly group meetings, gave research presentations in those group meetings, and discussed my research progress with graduate students and postdoctoral researchers. I also went to Standford's national accelerator and used the SAXS 4-2 beamline to measure the conformational changes in our polymer complexes. While there, I supported by preparing samples and keeping track of information essential to the measurement's success.
