My name is Jake Eakley and I am a graduate from Sheridan College with a focus in Advanced Business Marketing. With a strong background in sales, stock management and independent business proficiency. I began my work experience within the sales field as an Inside Sales Associate at Sovereign Financial. I had the opportunity to work with the marketing and sales team to grow my knowledge on effective sales strategies and plans to procure new clients. Similarly, as an Independent Sales/Business Owner at ACN International, I used my previous experience in creating comprehensive sales strategies in facilitating weekly buying/selling meetings for customers. My roles allowed me to exercise and strengthen my leadership, communication and writing skills. Furthermore, while serving as the Sales and Marketing Representative for the 3 Brewers I was able to develop plans with the Marketing team to allow greater overall success of our events and promotions, as well as increase foot traffic to our stores resulting in more sales for each location. These roles allowed me to apply my academic knowledge within a professional context and successfully troubleshoot the intricacies associated with roles encompassing team-building, leadership skills, financial and strategy planning.
