Jake Easter is the Tech Policy Program Manager at the American Enterprise Institute, where he is responsible for conducting and analyzing research regarding automation, AI, broadband, telecommunications, and other tech policy areas in addition to ensuring the smooth operation of the Tech Policy Studies team.Jake sees the future of work being largely dependent upon how our relationship with technology, specifically with artificial intelligence, machine learning, robotics, and virtual reality, can complement human productivity and skills. Since joining AEI in February 2021, his work has demonstrated a professional commitment to data-based policymaking, unbiased research, philosophical clarity, and solid data analysis.In May of 2019, Jake graduated Magna Cum Laude as a Samford University Fellow with a degree in International Relations and Economics. He spent his first years out of undergraduate working in Governor Kay Ivey’s Office in Alabama, helping implement her plans regarding workforce development policy and labor economics. He is a native of Nashville, TN, but called Alabama home for 6 years before moving to Washington D.C.
