Head Of Ks4Boomsatsuma Sep 2016 - Sep 2018Bristol, England, United KingdomWorked within state schools as a subcontractor teaching photography and art GCSEs in timetabled lessons. This was aimed at students that were at risk of not being able to progress to college. This meant helping them to succeed though a non academic subject, and in some cases gave them their only GCSE above a C grade. For 2 years delivering this course, we had the best grades based on prior attainment in the first school we worked in which meant it was rolled out to a further two where again we had very positive results. Leased between state schools and Boomsatsuma to make sure that services were being delivered to a high standard and being delivered on time. Mentored students who were disengaged with learning though creative and digital practice. This was to give them a good relationship with a member of staff within the school and a positive experience in education. In many cases, this lead to an increase in attendance and punctuality and a decrease in behavioural issues. -
