Throughout my summer, I had the opportunity to work on several tasks. I conducted research and formed recommendations for the real estate project manager. My accounting tasks consisted of managing the operating company’s accounts payable and monthly bank reconciliations in Yardi Voyager. I also pursued ad-hoc projects for the chief financial officer and assisted with the preparation of the quarterly financial statements.

I was a program associate for the Temple University Management Consulting Program for nearly two years. I collaborated with a team of three student workers to assess the program's strategic goals and manage projects. I helped create, facilitate, and market programming, introducing and preparing 300+ students for consulting industry careers. I also fostered relationships with the program’s corporate partners, who participated in and sponsored the program’s events.

Throughout the summer, I managed two trackers in Microsoft Excel to depict the vendor relationships of Comcast Business's most recent acquisition—Masergy— and provided weekly updates to the audit readiness team. I also automated the process of totaling and validating operating expenses from the Incorta general ledger in an Excel workbook. I then recorded instructions for creating an Excel sheet that automatically totals monthly operating expenses with Incorta data in PowerPoint. I presented these instructions to teams in Comcast Business and implemented their feedback. I also remapped the Masergy Historical P&L statement to reflect the post-acquisition changes in the chart of accounts.

I planned swim curriculum for children ages 4 to 13 and conducted daily swim lessons for over 25 students at a time. With a team of 10 lifeguards, I guarded two pools with a capacity of 50 or more club and camp members of all ages.

During meetings, I learned more about financial accounting, finance principles, and investment strategies. At the beginning of each meeting, I shared energy market news with the Fund to work on my presenting skills. I contributed to a stock coverage report with a team of analysts that focused on an undervalued company within the energy sector.
