”It's not just a job..." When I was in 7th grade, my dad, a proud Navy Sailor, took me on a tour of the world-famous Saberhawks of HSL-47, a small helicopter squadron in San Diego, CA. During that tour, I discovered much more than leather jackets, sunglasses, and cool patches. While sitting in the fuzzy covered seats inside the cockpit of the Navy H-60 Seahawk, and with my hands on the flight controls, I realized my dream job was to become a Naval Aviator. Thirty years later, who knew that same helicopter, would have: transported me to various ports of call all around the world; provided me an opportunity to protect international mariners from desperate pirates; chase hostile submarines; and most importantly, allow me to teach over 250 of my fellow naval aviators how to command the mighty Seahawk! In the latter half of my career, I have had the honor to serve our country’s most capable warriors. I have adapted the professional skills from my aviation background to identify risks and opportunities for national decision-makers; inspire large, multi-function teams in the planning, programming, and management of a $1.2B budget; and been motivated to ensure our special forces never fail or suffer inadvertent loss of life.Throughout my entire life, I have made it my mission always to be genuine, dedicated to the core values of honesty, integrity, and harmony so that I can inspire my tribe to achieve great things. My CliftonStrengths Signature Themes include:Responsibility | Harmony | Consistency | Analytical | Focus
