I am a soon to be Mechanical Engineering graduate, currently in search of a full time position to begin my professional engineering career. I will graduate this coming May 2016 with a Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. I have a broad depth of experience in operational engineering through a Manufacturing Engineering Internship at Polaris in Osceola, WI and a Quality Engineering Internship at Phillips-Medisize in New Richmond, WI. Through these professional experiences I have developed first-hand experience and knowledge of lean manufacturing concepts, statistical process control, product validation, root cause analysis, and process improvement, skills that have complimented my coursework at UW-Madison very well.Since I am a very mechanically inclined, hands-on person, much of my electives and activities at UW-Madison have centered towards manufacturing and internal combustion engines. Outside of required coursework I have taken classes such as Internal Combustion Engine Fundamentals, Redesign and Prototype Fabrication, Engineering Principles of Off-Road Vehicles, and Kinematics and Dynamics of Machine Systems. Outside of the classroom, I am a member of the SAE Clean Snowmobile Team and enjoy getting in the shop whenever possible. Being a member of the snowmobile team has given me valuable experience applying my education to a real world system and working as a member of a team towards a shared goal.
