Summer Camp Counselor
Current2 months spent as summer camp facilitator, performing various roles such as teaching, counselling and logistics with the aim of providing fun and educational activities to encourage and nurture new interests within young people, enabling them to reach their full potential as happy, global citizens. Executing this required meticulous planning and round the clock attention and care. Pre-camp as a team we planned high quality programs in areas such as teaching English, outdoor/environmental education, sports and more, tailored to different situations and children’s needs.During camp activities were ran in small teams with leaders rotating based on people’s strengths, while being responsible for safety and well-being of all campers, communicating with parents & head of operations, and taking & posting photos for parents to view.Post camp and a full evaluation was all equipment was returned, cleaned and necessary repairs logged, an evaluation conducted with each team and contributed to a post-camp website report.
