𝐅𝐑𝐎𝐌 𝐂𝐎𝐋𝐋𝐄𝐆𝐄 𝐓𝐎 𝐍𝐀𝐒𝐀 🚀I was born and raised in the DC area, playing sports and music throughout high school, and then followed in my mom’s footsteps to the University of Maryland. I majored in atmospheric science, geography, and cartography. When I graduated, I landed a job as a Science Data Specialist with NASA at the Goddard Space Flight Center. I asked a ton of tough questions and worked on projects outside my job description which allowed me to learn relational database management, SQL, C programming, and UNIX shell scripting.𝐅𝐑𝐎𝐌 𝐒𝐎𝐅𝐓𝐖𝐀𝐑𝐄 𝐃𝐄𝐕𝐄𝐋𝐎𝐏𝐄𝐑 𝐓𝐎 𝐓𝐄𝐂𝐇𝐍𝐈𝐂𝐀𝐋 𝐋𝐄𝐀𝐃𝐄𝐑 📊I left NASA after a couple years and moved into software development and gained more exposure to PEARL, C++, database management, and .net. I had a stint as a developer consultant, and then went back into the public sector at CACI, spending 8 years as a developer and then 4 years as a manager, operating as a player-coach and subject matter expert. I was able to travel the world to work on document intelligence software that aided government intelligence and the military in real-time.𝐋𝐄𝐀𝐃𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐂𝐋𝐈𝐄𝐍𝐓 𝐄𝐍𝐆𝐀𝐆𝐄𝐌𝐄𝐍𝐓𝐒 𝐀𝐓 𝐖𝐈𝐋𝐋𝐎𝐖𝐓𝐑𝐄𝐄 🌳Next, I joined WillowTree, a rapidly growing digital agency, as a Program Manager where I began leading a portfolio of concurrent projects worth $10M in revenue. There were competing priorities and resources but I’ve always been able to exceed client expectations and help grow revenues by up to 40% year to year. I was promoted to Senior Engagement Director and led teams using CICD principles to achieve significant metric improvements, including a 15% decrease in code lead time and a 10% decrease in test cycle time. I apply data and insights to drive QBR messaging for executive stakeholders, adjusting strategies as needed while building strong relationships with clients.
