I am a marriage and family therapist in practice for over 15 years. In 2021, I founded Bristlecone Therapy, a psychotherapy and life coaching practice based in Wheaton, IL. I also work as an associate professor of marriage and family therapy at Wheaton College, where I have taught for over a decade. In more recent years I've become a certified life coach, and I am currently the president of the International Family Therapy Association.I hold degrees in human development (PhD) from Virigina Tech and marriage and family therapy (MS) from Northwestern University. I am an approved supervisor through the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy and am trained in Sensorimotor Psychotherapy and Trauma-Informed Stabilization Treatment.On a personal note, I've been married for over 16 years. I have four boys, ages 14 to 7. I love travel, hiking and reading fiction. I have done a whole bunch of my own therapy, spiritual direction, and personal and group retreats (as I deeply believe that if I am not healthy, then I certainly can't help my students and clients to be).
