• Co-founded Beyond Poverty, an NGO seeking to address global development in an economically and environmentally sustainable approach while seeking to avoid creating dependent relationships between donors and recipient organizations.• Outlined and developed organization’s vision and direction, short and long-term goals, guidelines and overall mission statement. • Designed and created organization’s website including blogs, video shorts of international projects, sales spot for fundraising support.• Successfully managed project to design and install a solar powered water filtration system in the first pediatric hospital in Kigali, Rwanda that provides clean, sanitary water for the hospital as well as filtered water for a dispensary station for the surrounding community. System is sustainable with sale of the water by the hospital supporting the maintenance of the filter system. • Identified and collaborated with local business leaders in Kenya and invested in a Tilapia fish farm that is currently providing sustainable income for a local farmer and allows him to better utilize his land to meet a demand in a market niche. • Drafted a co-op agreement, developed growth strategy including analysis of ROI and then implemented a sustainable rabbit-breading co-op in Kenya. After recouping the initial investment, the farm was able to meet their sales goals and use the profits to invest in another similar project.• Organized and led in-country community focus groups for research, identification and development of viable projects and business strategies in Haiti and East Africa.• Recruited and managed volunteer in support of various fundraising and awareness events including presence at Bonnaroo Festival.
