Full-stack developer with a bachelors in Mechanical Engineering and a certificate in Material Science from UT Austin. I interned at several companies, taking on roles from 3D modeling and prototyping to project management and proposal writing. I also served as a research assistant in a lab that fabricated and tested materials used as heatshields for reentry vehicles. Upon graduation, I worked as a consultant in the cognitive space at IBM focused on projects that involved Watson offerings to support client endeavors and the global team. Working closely with development teams gave me an appreciation for the fast-paced environments and thought-provoking challenges developers solve. The work I did there made me want a career change, so I enrolled in the web-development immersive program at Galvanize. Now, I aim to be part of a fast-paced, innovative company filled with people that are driven, curious, and inherently want to positively impact the world around us, both in the office and out.
