I was a sophomore in high school when an investor came into my academy classroom and spoke about accumulating passive income and building equity in the US money markets. I was fascinated by his presentation and ultimately started doing my own research into investing.Today, in an ever-changing and competitive workforce, I have taken advantage of opportunities to enhance all areas of my professional skill set. I interned with a chamber of commerce to hone networking and data analytics skills, worked in hospitality to craft interpersonal skills by building relationships and providing services to customers. While these experiences aren’t finance related, they taught me fundamental business principals that I can utilize in the financial field.Within the asset management and private wealth industry, I have experience as well. I spent the summer of 2021 & 2022 interning for the capital management group, Intrepid Capital, in Jacksonville, FL. Through their open architecture internship program, I completed projects alongside Intrepid's operations team, investments team, and private wealth management team. Getting to see all sides of the office opened my eyes to the importance interpersonal skills, and team chemistry within financial services.
