Jake is a proud Ngarabal man, he holds a Bachelor of Teaching (Secondary) / Bachelor of Health and Physical Education. Jake has joined the office of Indigenous Strategy and Leadership after fulfilling a variety of roles within the NSW Department of Education including Head Teacher PDPHPE and as an Aboriginal Education Consultant. Additionally, Jake has previously worked as a teaching staff member at the Wollotuka Institute.As the Indigenous Executive Support and Engagement Officer, Jake collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to implement the University’s Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Education and Research Framework. Jake works to action the Cultural Capability Framework across the University and support staff to move from being Culturally Aware to being Culturally Responsive, a significant part of this work is through facilitating the Cultural Capability training package.
