Working with a fellow graduate student, tutorials were organized and delivered to first year undergraduate students (approx 50 students) which provided an introduction to computer modelling (Rhinoceros and AutoCAD). Outside of the tutorials, individual assistance was provided through office hours. A final assignment was prepared and graded to evaluate the material covered in the tutorials.

EVOQ Architecture specializes in heritage conservation and Inuit and First Nations architecture. As a summer student, I primarily coordinated with senior architects to further develop strategies and tools to improve quality control and modelling efficiency within the office. Additionally, assistance was provided on site visits and with drafting of two heritage restoration projects in Montreal.

Adamson Associates Architects is a large scale architecture firm that has experience in a multitude of sectors, often working as executive architect. I contributed to teams working in this capacity on large scale commercial projects. Specific responsibilities included:-Updating BIM models to reflect developing project design-Coordination with consultants to ensure design meets building code-Preparation of presentation materials used in client meetings-Collaboration with colleagues to ensure that Revit standards are maintained within the office and by consultants

Ottawa, Canada Area

Responsible for two residential design projects - a new off grid solar mass home in Douglas, ON and a bungalow renovation/addition in Ottawa, ON. Specific responsibilities required by these projects included site planning, schematic designs, technical drafting and communication with clients.

Ymca Campe Pinecrest

Facilitated month long leadership programs for participants aged 14-16, in groups of 10 - 20 at an overnight camp in central Ontario. These leadership programs aimed to prepare the participants to be effective leaders who could plan and deliver strong programming, work well with children, make strong contributions in a team setting and be positive role models to others in their community. These programs involved canoeing and hiking trips 5 - 14 days in length, which required strong risk management and outdoor living skills to guide the groups through remote areas of Ontario. Throughout the programs, continuous feedback was provided and culminated in written evaluations, specific for each participant.

Ymca Camp Pinecrest

At an overnight camp in central Ontario, responsible for 8 children/youth between the ages of 8-14, for 2/4 week sessions. This position required planning and facilitating activities that follow the Quality Eight principles, ensuring camper physical and emotional safety, dealing with sensitive issues and having fun. Each session features a 2-8 day canoe trip, which requires additional knowledge in canoe tripping, and risk management in remote outdoor settings.

Calgary, Canada Area

Fulfilled pool supervision, customer service, emergency response, and maintenance tasks in a large pool facility. As well, taught groups of 4 to 8 children between the ages of 2 and 10 about swimming and water safety in group swimming lessons.
