B.S. Biomedical Engineering, Saint Louis University - Spring 2018. Throughout my time as an engineering student I have developed a strong attention to detail, strong verbal and written communication, and overall problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work well in a team environment.I am particularly interested in object oriented programming in C++, MATLAB, and Python. In addition to this I have gained experience in Java, .NET, SQL, C and C#. I am currently working on my senior project, which involves the design and construction of a navigation assistant for the visually impaired. This system utilizes machine learning and computer vision with voice and haptic feedback to guide the user through everyday obstacles. The system is ran using Nvidia's Jetson TX2 microprocessor, utilizing the Python programming language and running on Linux OS. For this project I have successfully used Google’s machine learning software, tensorflow, to build a neural network based on pre-selected images and trained a custom model for detection.I also have experience with brain computer interface systems. Using Neurosky’s Mindwave headset to detect and read EEG signals from the brain, I have developed software which allows the user to control an Arduino tank using these signals. The system detects the EEG signal correlated to the users blink strength and outputs a command to move the tank. The tank can move in all directions based on the users blink strength. Overall, I am self-motivated, team oriented and looking for a full-time position at a company which allows me to apply my engineering background in innovative and productive ways, while developing new skills in the process.
