The Short Story:- First Generation Seedstock Angus Cattle Producer with my wife Emma- Studied a Bachelor of Agriculture - Have worked across the beef supply chain from the ground up in a variety of roles from conception to consumption and inbetween for leading beef businesses in Australia including ABRI, MLA, Teys Australia and Angus Australia- The current ARCBA Young Breed Leader Award recipient completing 5 weeks study tour in the US studying first generation agriculture- 4yo Boy who likes to play bull riding, drive tractors and batman - Choose to surround ourselves with good people and great cattleThe Long version:I am passionate about driving teams to achieve success and fostering the next generation of beef producers. I believe in the value of having the very best cows, culture and character surrounding our people to enable them to do the best they can. I volunteer on many committees such as the South Australian Junior Heifer Expo where i have co-lead the senior section of the event , mentoring our young people to reach for their dreams in the beef industry, I also volunteer on the Southern Grassfed Carcase Classic committee where we benchmark ~1800 grassfed carcases annually while raising more than $400,000 for the RFDS in the past 16 years.We have dreams of carving our path in the Angus seedstock industry and are building our genetic base and strategy from scratch , starting our ag journey at high school ( many moons ago!)I have been fortunate enough to work in the beef industry from genetic evalution, grading carcases, supply chain management, branded beef, QA, livestock procurement , cattle buying, extension , adoption and leadership. i work for Angus Australia currently as the Extension Manager, with a short term secondment, as the Zoetis AngusEXPO Coordinator - which is due to be the largest gathering of registered Angus cattle in Australia with additional educational events, competitions and sales at AELEC in May 2025 as part of the World Angus Forum. Previously i have managed the expansive array of Angus Youth scholarships, awards and bursaries including the industry leading GenAngus program. I believe i am here to leave the jersey in a better place and to enable the beef industry to be better, more productive, sustainable and engaged for the future of our planet and our young people. I enjoy mentoring young people and helping them get the very best out of themselves
