Being part of a great team which help provide a enjoyable, lively yet relaxing and - in these current times - a safe environment for everyone who comes to the pub! As one of the bar staff my job is to liaise between front and back of house to ensure food orders are correct and goes out as quickly as possible when ready. I also have further responsibilities which include opening abs setting up the pub as well as locking up.

After 6 months of bar experience I became Assistant Manager and took on many more responsibilities. It was a role I thoroughly enjoyed, from the day-to-day tasks - such as customer service - to creating new events, building a great team and improving the pub in any way possible. As Assistant Manager I was responsible for the following: • The opening/closing of the pub, and the safeguarding of staff and customers• The handling of money, cashing up, monitored incomings and outgoings on a daily basis as well as the week-to-week financial running of the pub. • Managing the ordering and the receiving of deliveries, including payments and processing invoices• Recruitment of staff for both front and back of house• Assisting in putting together the weekly staff rota• Carrying out weekly stock/line check• Organising of events and large party sized bookings• Changed over barrels/kegs when needed and cleaned beer lines and cellar• Creating and designing new menus • Maintaining the day-to-day running of the pub and ensured a warm atmosphere for both customers and staff alike

My favourite aspect of working as a bartender was creating a warm, welcoming, fun environment for everyone who came through the doors. The pub provided great food, a fine selection of beverages of all varieties and played host to many kinds of events. I initially worked here to top up funds while working freelance at QVC but this soon became my main place of work.

In the position of Studio floor Assistant I was tasked with preparing products, props, and helping set up the studio for live broadcast. I would then change items on and off set during live programmes. liaising with presenters, guests, directors & producers before and during the show where needed so as everyone knew what to do and where to be at certain points of the show. This included counting presenters in and out of shows & advert breaks, directing models when demonstrating certain items.

As Sales Assistant I worked on all departments where I liaised with customers and assisted with their requests both politely and efficiently. I handled money when working on the tills whilst keeping the shop floor tidy with high standards of replenishment and cleanliness. As stockroom assistant I help with incoming and outgoing deliveries as well as getting the new units to the shop floor as quickly as possible. Our aims in the stockroom were to complete deliveries in the most efficient way possible whilst making stock easily accessible for colleagues to find. Working on all the departments in store gave me a great learning experience in both customer service and working efficiently whilst meeting different kinds of targets.

I volunteered as a Radio Presenter at the amazing 'KCC Live' community Radio station Situated on Merseyside. Here I produced and presented my own specialist Rock Music show, "Louder than Sound". The show aired every Tuesday evening 8pm-10pm with several features all sorts of features, News that Rocks, and of course... TUNE after TUNE after TUNE!

I have also had work experience at a commercial radio station. Here I learnt how to schedule programmes, adverts and music using Myriad. I drove the desk for one of the live shows and carried out a number of interviews for the news team which I then edited using Adobe Audition.

I had two weeks work experience at BBC Radio Merseyside shadowing presenters and producers. I spent most of my time in the newsroom where I helped collect, create and edit audio for air. I also helped set up and assist with an outside broadcast.

At Sports Revolution I worked on placement as Assistant Media Manager. The company specialises in Concourse TV at football grounds. Part of my job was to collect visual content from the football clubs, import it to our software and send it back out remotely to the screens in the concourses on a multi screen platform for fans to watch before, during and after the game. Another part of the job was to liaise with football clubs such as Liverpool, Celtic and many others in case of any issues at their end with the screens or if the software wasn’t working properly.
