When I was in middle school, I won an iPod touch from one of those Stacker arcade games (yeah, apparently it’s possible to beat those… although I haven’t done it since). While most kids would use it to listen to music, I used it to build and deploy my first ever app: a total Doodle Jump ripoff.I’ve been gaining fulfillment through software engineering for as long as I can remember, and I’ll always be grateful for that day in the arcade. I learned two things through that experience:1) You never know when or where life’s next adventure will start, and2) Never take for granted any opportunity that comes your wayJust recently, the stars seemed to align for me once again. After several satisfying years of internships and my position at FactSet, which I’ll always remember fondly, I found myself in the professional and social circles of many elite builders, developers, and innovators in the SaaS and Web3 ecosystems. I continued to learn and grow alongside them, and I decided to try my hand at entrepreneurship.Since making that decision, I have been granted countless opportunities. I have become a part of a team I consider family, I have been flown out to Dubai for a development project (where I found time for some epic sand boarding), and I have had the responsibility of overseeing many aspects of business growth, technical infrastructure setup, community management, and client relations. It feels like I learn more each new day than I’ve learned in my entire life prior, and I can only hope that I continue to be so lucky going forward.For anyone else looking to innovate — let’s do it.
