God has called the Westgate Church family to “embrace and empower emerging generations” as a key priority for our work in the west metro. The NextGen Pastor will work with the Lead Pastor and Executive Pastor to craft and cast a vision for how our kids, youth, and young adult ministries will increasingly fulfill that priority. This individual should view themselves as a shepherd to families and a developer of teams, as they lead and collaborate with staff and volunteers across ministries to effectively reach and disciple the next generation(s) for Christ.

As a recent graduate of Azusa Pacific University majoring in youth ministry, JSAW has given me an opportunity to gain real ministerial experience over the past couple summer, but now I have received a full time position. I am really excited about this opportunities because I have only developed a deeper passion for the kids in the programs. JSAW's mission is to provide a safe and positive environment for kids, ages 10-18, to feel belonging, be introduced to Christ, and engaged in discipleship. My role at JSAW is to develop their ministerial programs. I do this by leading Bible studies, organizing weekly programmed activities, mentoring select kids throughout the week, and fundraising to attract and support local riders and their families. I am so excited for how God is going to move with my future now being at JSAW ministries.
