Kwick Doctor is a startup in the healthcare sector that aims to connect patients to doctors anytime, anywhere at the lowest possible cost. It has been an eventful year and major strategic partnerships have been secured with government of Pakistan. Successful partnerships have been created with Tech Pakistan who have been paramount in connecting us to other key players in the Pakistani market. There are always ways to improve and expand on business processes and to increase efficiency to make them more effective. I really enjoyed the component of identifying where a business can improve and then working on that implementation. My biggest achievement was my major contribution to the development of a rules engine that would provide efficiency to the systems that manage investments.

Leadership is the responsibility to ensure that your team will replace you as a leader. Sometimes it's challenging and guidance is needed but in the long term your team should take over your position as a leader.

As a reporting analyst I was involved with developing C-level executive reports using Excel VBA. These reports included organization wide risk analysis and exposure to incomplete investments that had not been liquidated or created in the event of a systems failure. I was very proud of my operational report that would be used daily to monitor and track SLA adherence on a daily basis that was completed and implemented successfully.

As an administrator I was responsible for capturing and checking that transactions went through correctly and successfully. During my time in this role I managed to implement process changes and efficiencies in the unit transfer team that reduced the total headcount required for the team and made the team's processing capability more efficient and accurate.

I worked as a general manager for a restaurant performing duties such as cash handling, VAT reporting for SARS, general office administration, stock orders and supply management and staff management while studying as a student at the university of Pretoria. My greatest achievement in this role was increasing the daily turnover to twice the amount usual by simply implementing an additional till to handle the volume of customers. I noticed that customers were leaving during the day time and that there was a bottleneck at the tills. By implementing this change the profitability went from running a daily loss to a massive profit each day.

Worked as a laboratory assistant for a masters student in his final year of study. I was responsible for PCR procedures of genetic material extracted which would then be sequenced later. Cloning fungal samples in Agar in a sterile environment and using techniques that prevent contamination. Usage of the autoclave to sterilize agar preparations.Mixing of nutrient solutions to provide adequate micro and macronutrients to fungal samples. Preparation of medium for gel electrophoresis.Running gel electrophoresis on DNA samples for comparison of DNA sizes using appropriate pigments.
